00:00 We've seen over the last few days that the U.S. ordered more aircraft carriers, more
00:04 aircraft and troops, as well as ballistic missile destroyers to be moved into the region
00:09 in anticipation for a retaliatory strike by the Iranians.
00:14 And what we are hearing is that quite a lot of these drones and missiles and ballistic
00:19 missiles that were shot down were actually done so outside of Israeli airspace, particularly
00:26 over the airspace between Iraq and Syria and of course Jordan as well.
00:31 The Jordanian Air Force also joining in, although at times the Jordanians are slightly hesitant
00:37 to admit that they do have a kind of working relationship with the United States as well.
00:42 Of course the U.S. does have bases in Jordan as well.
00:45 But I've had a source confirm it to me that the U.S. did have intel that this kind of
00:52 attack was possible, the scale of which however they are calling unprecedented.
00:57 There's also a feeling within the government that Iran might have launched this attack
01:02 knowing that it would have been thwarted and that really it was all about optics.
01:07 They needed to do something big to show that they would respond to this attack on their
01:12 embassy in Syria and also especially for the hardliners inside Iran itself.
01:18 But nevertheless the United States is treating this as a legitimate attack on Israel that
01:23 was thwarted by the Israelis with the help of the Americans and their allies.
