00:00 Well, here we are.
00:02 You're one of those wrestling fans that says you know what's gonna happen at the biggest
00:06 wrestling show of the year from WWE?
00:08 Well, we have an idea of what we think is gonna happen as well.
00:12 This is Sportskeeda Wrestling, I'm Kevin Kellum, here are our predictions for WrestleMania
00:18 40.
00:19 Let us know what you think, and let us know what your predictions are in the comments
00:22 below.
00:23 Come on, let us know what you think.
00:24 You got a big brain in there.
00:25 Come on, ticky-tappy with the keyboard.
00:28 What we know is confirmed to be the main event for night one, something that'll be consequential
00:32 to night two, the Bloodline.
00:34 The Rock and Roman Reigns versus Cody Rhodes and Seth freaking Rollins in what is being
00:40 dubbed the biggest tag team match of all time.
00:43 The Bloodline could win a Bloodline rules advantage for the night two main event, seeing
00:49 Cody challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.
00:52 Now if Cody and Rollins are successful, there will be no Bloodline members at ringside.
00:58 Obviously, the buildup to this match is through the roof with the star power of The Rock and
01:03 the recent beatdown of Cody, one that saw bad language that may have never been allowed
01:08 on WWE in recent years and blood really pushing the limits.
01:13 Plus, Roman Reigns playing more of a supporting role to The Rock makes you think, where is
01:18 this gonna go?
01:19 This certainly has a consequential play into night two.
01:23 WWE has threaded the needle on the bordering elements of just about too much and walking
01:29 up to the line of everything toppling over and getting too confusing, but don't worry,
01:35 it's all pretty clearly defined.
01:37 This will be a great match that rides on the star power of the personality and don't
01:43 expect Philly to be quiet about it.
01:44 But we see the Bloodline stacking the deck even heavier against Cody Rhodes heading into
01:51 night two.
01:53 The Rock and Roman Reigns pick up the victory, even with some cheating ways.
01:57 Neo Sky will take on Bayley for the WWE Women's Championship.
02:02 Bayley on a quest for revenge against the former protege who's now a champion.
02:08 A lot of motivation here, but I can't say the buildup to it has been as exciting as
02:12 you might think.
02:14 Bayley with that momentum out of the Royal Rumble doesn't feel as electric as she did
02:18 in January.
02:19 Something makes me think that Bayley is not leaving Philadelphia with the Women's Championship.
02:26 Rhea Ripley will defend the Women's World Championship against the man Becky Lynch.
02:31 The heat has been built up recently for this match.
02:34 This was one that was teased back in January at the big Wrestlemania kickoff event in Las
02:38 Vegas, so you can tell the WWE officials see something very big in this match.
02:43 Despite Becky Lynch punching out Dirty Dominik, Mommy's little boy, well, she still has
02:49 to deal with Mommy.
02:52 Something makes us think that Rhea Ripley is going to pull this one out.
02:55 The longest reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion of all time, Gunther, takes on the
03:00 beloved underdog, the Rocky in this Philadelphia story, Sami Zayn.
03:06 Over on the WrestleBinge YouTube channel, I had an opportunity to talk to Sami prior
03:11 to Wrestlemania and he said his entire career has been built on beating the odds.
03:16 And it should be worth noting, he defeated the wrestler then known as Walter well before
03:22 his WWE days, so Sami Zayn can beat Gunther.
03:26 And let's be crazy here, maybe this is the one where we're really betting the long
03:31 odds, but Sami Zayn is our prediction to win the WWE Intercontinental Champion match and
03:38 dethrone Gunther.
03:39 In a match that has many players and a whole lot of expected violence, the six pack tag
03:44 team ladder match for the undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships will see The Judgment
03:50 Day, Finn Balor and Senior Money in the Bank defend against DIY, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso
03:56 Ciampa, The Awesome Truth of Miz and R-Truth, The New Day, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods,
04:01 The New Catch Republic, Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne, and Grayson Wall and Austin Theory.
04:07 This will be a wild ladder match with a lot of violence, some veterans of the ladder match
04:12 game and some people new to it as well.
04:15 Expect this card to open up one of the nights of Wrestlemania to get everything going, and
04:20 something makes us think that the purple and black are not leaving Philly with the titles,
04:25 considering that Damian Priest has that Money in the Bank, maybe he gets a little selfish,
04:30 and all of the turbulence within The Judgment Day boils over.
04:34 Something makes us think that R-Truth, a former not so real member of The Judgment Day, gets
04:41 to have a shining moment in this match, and Awesome Truth leave with the WWE Tag Team
04:47 titles.
04:48 Personal issues, big consequences at the biggest show of the year for LA Knight against AJ
04:54 Styles.
04:55 Two veterans of the ring who made their name first in TNA Impact Wrestling are now established
05:00 players in WWE, but something tells us this is LA Knight's crowning moment to truly
05:06 have a shining spotlight on him similar to what we saw at Summerslam, and simply has
05:12 that fan support.
05:13 Yeah.
05:14 Brother vs Brother, yes, once again another personal issue, one within the Bloodline family
05:22 boils over years in the making.
05:25 Jimmy Uso vs Jey Uso.
05:28 Jey now out of the Bloodline, Jimmy once again going back into it after some wonky booking
05:34 back at Summerslam, but it looks like they've dialed this thing back in as much as they
05:39 can get it.
05:40 The crowd will be yeeting and there will be a beating.
05:44 Something makes us think that this is a special moment for Jey Uso.
05:50 Now this could certainly be a shocking turn to play into all the other things that are
05:53 going on with the Bloodline during WrestleMania, but something makes us think that WWE is going
05:58 to understand how important this is for the brothers, and we get to see this be the first
06:04 match in maybe a series of very personal fights.
06:08 Jey Uso gets the W.
06:09 Gen Z troll celebrity Logan Paul has the WWE United States Championship and he's proven
06:15 beyond all those expectations that he loves pro wrestling and he's pretty good at it.
06:20 He's proven in these big match situations he can deliver and he's in there with two
06:24 other players as his challengers, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens.
06:28 And to really get under people's skin in a really crazy sports town, WWE could get
06:35 some people booing Logan Paul out of Philadelphia if he leaves with the United States Championship
06:40 and maybe we have another rematch down the line.
06:42 You need something after WrestleMania in the midcard and Kevin Owens and Randy Orton chasing
06:46 him after Philly would be a wild one.
06:49 Logan Paul leaves Philly with the US title.
06:52 While we're recording this, WWE has yet to confirm some faction warfare matches with
06:57 Bobby Lashley's pride taking on Killer Kross in the Final Testament, plus another big faction
07:02 versus faction match from the SmackDown side of things with Rey Mysterio leading Dragon
07:08 Lee of the LWO against Santos Escobar and his former prodigal son Dominic Mysterio.
07:15 WWE goes with the bad guys and Dominic Mysterio and Santos Escobar get a career-defining win
07:21 in their match, while I could see Killer Kross in the Final Testament once again proving
07:26 bad guys get to have a big win.
07:29 The World Heavyweight Championship, yeah, that championship that Seth Rollins has made
07:34 with his banger match delivery will be defended against Drew McIntyre, who nearly defeated
07:39 Seth Rollins on Monday Night Raw a few months back.
07:43 Seth nearly missed WrestleMania with an injury and was really supposed to take on CM Punk
07:47 before he got hurt at this year's WrestleMania, but look how things have played out and look
07:53 who's really got a lot of advantage going into this match.
07:57 It's Drew McIntyre.
07:58 Rollins is not going to be 100% coming off the battle of Night One against The Bloodline,
08:03 and how is that outcome going to play into the outcome of this match?
08:06 Plus, you have to factor in CM Punk is going to be the special guest commentator at ringside,
08:11 and won't he play some type of role in how this plays out?
08:15 We got a feeling that Seth Freakin' Rollins is not going to be freakin' happy with the
08:18 outcomes of both of his matches in Philadelphia.
08:22 Drew McIntyre leaves with a big world title win in Philadelphia, and a real upset Seth
08:30 Rollins, and probably an equally angry CM Punk.
08:34 Drew McIntyre is going to be the new World Heavyweight Champion.
08:37 That's what we think.
08:39 And it all comes down to this, so much on the line, so many supporting players.
08:44 It's Cody Rhodes, the two-time Royal Rumble winner, getting his rightful rematch to take
08:51 on the Universal Champion Roman Reigns, who's held that title since August of 2020.
09:00 Last year at WrestleMania 39, Roman once again utilized the entire tribe of The Bloodline
09:06 to scrape his way out of La La Land with the championship.
09:10 Ever since then, Cody has been clawing his way back to get that title opportunity and
09:16 finish the story for his family, to win the WWE World Title, a title that was robbed of
09:22 his father, the Hall of Famer, American Dream Dusty Rhodes, on a technicality.
09:27 So much history, so many multi-generational family-weighted emotions are tied into this.
09:36 And then you can add The Rock.
09:39 Now if Night One ends up having The Bloodline get that Bloodline rules, this match will
09:45 not be a one-on-one affair, it will be one that is built on a whole lot of gaga, a lot
09:50 of run-ins, and maybe even some glass-breaking surprises.
09:54 What?
09:55 Yeah.
09:56 But if something makes us think, when the dust settles and fans lose their mind, they
10:01 will see Cody Rhodes as the new WWE Universal Champion.
10:07 Roman Reigns' historic title reign will come to an end in the hands of a hero for
10:14 the modern wrestling fan.
10:16 WWE's calculated long-term plan with Jade Cargill is coming into play.
10:22 She made a much-publicized jump to the company from All Elite Wrestling, appeared and made
10:28 an impact in the Royal Rumble match, but we haven't seen her since.
10:32 She was defined as a superstar on the SmackDown brand, making her debut on that show this
10:38 week in a big way, and also closing out the show coming to save Bianca Belair and Naomi
10:46 from Dakota Kai and Damage Control.
10:49 And it looks like we're going to get a big six-woman tag team match.
10:52 Now some have said that Jade has the star power, but maybe not the reps in the ring.
10:57 But this is absolutely 100% going to be a showcase for her, and everyone is going to
11:03 feel the storm.
11:05 Jade Cargill, Naomi, and Bianca Belair are getting the win here.
11:08 (upbeat music)
