Warcraft Mages are great in groups. With warriors and pets up front holding off the mobs or other baddies, the World of warcraft mage can sit back and unleash amazing power, steamrolling through the baddies with ease. Just don't try to go one on one in a melee situation with a sword-slinger. Frost them, run, slammed a fire bolt down their throat, Frost Nova, then run until you can Frost them again. Polymorph a mob if you're overwhelmed.
