00:11 a Belarusian former pro ice hockey player who was dating tennis star Irina Sabalenka.

00:18 The 42-year-old hockey player turned assistant coach died by an apparent suicide,

00:24 the Miami-Dade Police Department said in a statement on March 19th,

00:28 adding that no foul play is suspected.

00:32 Konstantin's KHL team said in a translated statement on March 18th,

00:37 "He was a strong and cheerful person. He was loved and respected by players, colleagues and fans."

00:45 The statement continues, "Konstantin forever wrote himself into the history of our club.

00:51 He won the Russian Championship and the Gagarin Cup as part of Salavat Yulev

00:57 and did a great job on the team's coaching staff."

01:00 During his professional career, Konstantin represented his country at the Winter Olympics in 2002 and 2010.

01:09 He also spent three seasons on the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins between 2003 and 2006.
