00:38 - Things were a little different when you filmed the show.
00:40 A lot of news.
00:41 You've all been in the headlines a lot.
00:43 Jax Brittany, get this out of the way.
00:45 This is your first sit down since the news went
00:48 of you guys splitting up.
00:50 There have been so many rumors.
00:51 I have read so much about you guys.
00:53 It's a publicity stunt.
00:55 There was infidelity.
00:56 You wanted more kids and you didn't.
00:58 I want to give you the platform here at E-News
01:00 to say what you want to say about it
01:02 and like dispel those rumors if they're untrue
01:04 so that we can kind of put this to bed
01:06 and leave you be in peace.
01:07 - Okay.
01:08 The truth is, I know Jax doesn't really want
01:11 to talk about it much, but the truth is
01:13 is that we have just been fighting
01:14 and not on the same page for a while now
01:17 and it was just becoming a negative space in our own house
01:22 and I just don't want that for my son.
01:24 You know, I don't want him growing up
01:25 thinking it's normal to live like that
01:27 and Jax did not cheat on me,
01:30 but we got into a very big fight
01:32 and I decided to pack up my stuff
01:34 and I've been staying in an Airbnb since January 24th.
01:37 - So it was a while before you guys announced.
01:38 - Yeah, it was a while before we announced.
01:40 The only reason that I felt like I had to announce
01:42 is because the Instagram sleuth literally realized
01:46 that I was staying at a different house
01:48 and rumors started spinning, going crazy everywhere
01:51 and where we are, reality TV personalities
01:54 and we have a podcast, we share so much of our lives
01:57 that it just felt like I needed to get ahead of it
01:59 and let people know this is real
02:01 and I'm doing it for my mental space
02:03 and I feel very strong with my decision
02:05 to get out for a while.
02:06 - Well I would say that in therapy I learned
02:08 two things can be true at the same time.
02:10 You can love someone and you can actually hate them
02:12 at the same time.
02:13 Do you feel that's true Jax?
02:15 Or anything you want to say on this topic?
02:17 - You know what, I just, I don't really have
02:19 much fight left in me.
02:20 You know, we're separated, we're trying to work it out.
02:23 That's pretty much all I'm gonna say on that.
02:25 - And you have to do what's best.
02:26 - I gotta do what's best for my son.
02:27 He's number one and we can both agree on that.
02:29 It's about just knowing that he's got two loving parents
02:32 that love him to death and he's gonna have
02:34 the best life possible whether we are together or not.
02:36 - Yeah.
02:37 - Well your co-stars, Jesse and Michelle,
02:38 also announced their separation
02:40 and we saw what happened with Tom and Ariana
02:43 over this past year.
02:45 Kristen, did you ever think that like you and James
02:48 would be like the last ones standing?
02:51 - Let's not get that twisted.

02:55 Luke and I are the last ones, maybe not the last ones,
02:58 but Luke and I are going strong.

03:01 - Obviously we have not, we don't have the number of years
03:04 that some of these marriages have and we're not married yet
03:07 but I am excited for people to get to meet Luke.
03:10 He's been in my life for close to two years now.
03:12 - Yeah.
03:13 - And it's exciting to let people start, you know,
03:15 in on my real life and what's happening
03:17 since it's been so many years since we've been on TV.
03:19 - I'm so happy y'all are back on TV.

03:23 I was like, thank God my people are back.

04:25 I think you're gonna see a really cool show.

04:34 Stuff that I'm more familiar with that we just really enjoy
04:37 and makes me wish I would have moved to the Valley sooner.
