News broke out at the weekend that the East End venue BAD, bad as art and design, is to
00:06
be taken over by the hospitality company behind Blackfriars, Nonacid and Blue Dog.
00:11
Merchant pubs and bars group recently concluded a deal to obtain the event venue and container
00:16
yard from Norrie Innes of Rock DCM who created the space 25 years ago.
00:21
The venue has become a Glasgow institution known for its distinctive arched glass roof.
00:26
The group intends to continue the active roster of music events while adding regular comedy
00:30
nights to the schedule.
00:32
They also plan to open five days a week by the end of April.
00:35
The courtyard will become a food hall with menus from new local food brand Schwarma Boy,
00:39
Snapper Brother Fish, a new seafood concept specialising in oysters and fish finger sandwiches
00:45
alongside Italian and pizza dishes from Nonacid.
00:48
A dedicated wedding venue team has also been appointed to further develop that side of
