00:00 Lok Sabha has now issued a new notice for postal voting.

00:05 The election commission has now provided the possibility of postal ballot for the media workers.

00:10 That is, all the senior media workers on election duty,

00:14 can vote through postal ballot at the place where they are working.

00:19 However, only those media workers can vote under this,

00:23 whose media coverage pass will be issued by the election commission.

00:29 Actually, the election commission tries to get maximum voter participation in any election.

00:35 But thousands of workers and security personnel are on duty during election.

00:40 Apart from this, the soldiers of the army are stationed at the border.

00:44 In such a situation, they are not able to go to their homes for voting.

00:49 Similarly, the election commission votes for the workers and soldiers through postal ballot.

00:56 Postal ballot is also called dark matpatra.

00:59 Before counting the votes in the election, the postal ballot is counted.

01:03 After that, the EVM or matpeti is opened.

01:06 The election commission decides how many people have to be given postal ballot.

01:11 After that, special letters are sent to these people printed on paper.

01:15 After receiving the matpatra, the worker chooses his favorite candidate

01:19 and returns this matpatra to the election commission through the dark.

01:23 The election commission has announced the dates of Lok Sabha elections across the country.

01:27 As of 1st April, there will be a total of 7 elections in total.

01:31 Along with this, there will be elections in 4 states - Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.

01:37 Apart from Sikkim and Arunachal, the rest of the results will come on 4th June.

01:41 In both these states, the results will come on 2nd June.

01:44 Before the Lok Sabha elections, this big step of the election commission

01:47 has been taken by the media workers, especially by giving them the right to vote through the postal ballot.

01:54 If these people are on duty, they can use their vote through the postal ballot.
