00:00 Tragically, the remaining patient that rescue teams were working to access was
00:06 located and he was located deceased, tragically. The update from now from a
00:14 Victoria Police perspective is that we will be conducting an investigation on
00:19 behalf of the coroner and we'll be working with WorkSafe Victoria to
00:25 conduct that investigation. Yeah, so it was a complex rescue in that there were
00:31 a few phases. Obviously yesterday evening we had the initial patient that was
00:36 transferred to the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne via air ambulance and he was
00:42 in a critical and life-threatening position at that point and I understand
00:47 that that remains to be the case. And then obviously the other phase of that
00:51 was extracting the other workers that were inside the refuge areas of the mine
00:59 and then accessing the second patient was undertaken and there had to be
01:06 significant efforts by rescue teams to make access to that person safe. The
01:11 location where the rockfall occurred was 500 meters deep but three kilometers
01:15 into the mine so there was significant time for rescuers to be able to
01:21 access those patients.
