00:06 On February 28th, the 20-year-old passed away following an ATV accident at his home in Boone,

00:14 His obituary reads, "Sean, known affectionately as 'Squishy,' was a military brat who touched

00:22 He never knew a stranger, regardless of age, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
00:28 His kind and generous nature endeared him to all who knew him."
00:32 It continues, "Sean had a passion for living life to the fullest.
00:36 His adventurous spirit and love for excitement were evident in all aspects of his life."
00:42 Following his passing, Sean's mother, Mary Hobbs, detailed the events leading up to the
00:48 tragedy, telling the U.S. Sun on March 1st, "He was just moving the ATV from one parking
00:54 spot to the next for me so I could back in to park.
00:57 He pulled in front of me to park the ATV and the ground gave way from all the rain and
01:02 mud."
01:03 She goes on to explain how the ATV flipped on her son and how she attempted to get help
01:09 from a neighbor to move the vehicle, before realizing Sean had already died.
01:14 "I just laid next to him until the ambulance showed up.
01:17 There was a huge part of my heart that died with my son on Wednesday.
01:21 He was my only son, my rock, my strength when I had none left."
01:26 E! News has reached out to Sean's family and local police for further comment, but
01:30 has not heard back.
01:32 According to local outlet, Watauga Democrat, the Watauga County Sheriff's Office, or WCSO,
01:39 said the fire department, medics and police reported to the scene of the accident.
01:44 In a statement, the WCSO shared, "Our hearts are heavy with sorrow for the loss experienced
01:50 by the family and loved ones of the victim."
