00:00 So we're here at CES 2024 with Razer to check out their brand new HD Haptic Gaming Cushion.
00:06 Now, I obviously can't really test it out myself, so I asked my colleague Anthony Spadafore to test it out for us.
00:12 So, let's go check it out.
00:13 Razer's Project Esther is billed as the world's first HD Haptics Gaming Cushion.
00:19 Powered by the company's Razer Senza HD Haptics, this haptic technology strives to make gaming more immersive
00:25 thanks to its full-body, high-definition positional haptics.
00:28 Most haptic devices only have one-dimensional feedback that always feels the same.
00:32 Project Esther adapts to whatever game or content you're consuming
00:35 by generating tactile sensations that change in speed, intensity, and duration.
00:40 Project Esther features 16 haptic actuators that are positioned for maximum content with your body.
00:45 This is possible due to its wider surface area.
00:48 Project Esther's haptic sensations can travel from one part to another, which amps up its sense of immersion.
00:54 Like, for instance, when you start the level and you go down the elevator.
00:57 I can feel that on Esther on either side. Yeah.
01:00 If you're getting shot on the left, you feel it on the left side.
01:02 If you're getting shot on the right, you feel it on the right side.
01:03 Thanks to Project Esther's adjustable straps, it works with most gaming chairs and office chairs.
01:08 This is great because it means you don't need to buy an all-new chair.
01:10 You can use whatever chair you already own.
01:12 Project Esther supports Razer HyperSpeed Wireless.
01:16 This 2.4 GHz connection allows for low-latency gaming and is ideal for other forms of media and devices.
01:22 Alright, guys. So, Anthony Spadafore here is going to be testing out Razer Project Esther.
01:26 It's still a concept, not finalized, but this is kind of a revolution when it comes to gaming haptics.
01:32 Oh!
01:32 So, Anthony, what do you feel like? What does it feel like when you're playing?
01:36 Yeah, I'm feeling as I'm going down in the elevator, I felt that.
01:39 I'm feeling the shots coming in.
01:40 Just think of it as, like, the vibration from your controller, but now it's on your back in your chair.
01:45 Right now, Project Esther is only a concept, so we don't know when it'll actually release.
01:49 But we're excited to see where this technology could go.
01:52 Alright, so that was Project Esther.
01:54 We want to know what you have to say, so be sure you comment down below.
01:56 And for all our CS 2024 coverage, make sure you hit up Tom's Guide on all the social media platforms.

02:06 Not the best Bang Moriarty player, but trying.
