00:00 "You had work done?"
00:02 "You say that like it's a bad thing."
00:05 Welcome to Miss Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for those actresses who've
00:09 spoken out against plastic surgery and who will, most likely, never have any work done.
00:15 "Oh honey, you finally got Botox!"
00:18 "No, I did not get Botox."
00:20 10. Kristen Stewart
00:23 You wouldn't think that a beautiful actress would have to comment on plastic surgery in
00:26 her 20s, but that's how image-centric and superficial Hollywood can be. And Kristen
00:32 Stewart knows it.
00:33 "I am not for this world."
00:36 However, she also knows who she is, and what her values are. That's why, in an interview
00:42 back in 2015, at just 25 years old, Stewart made a promise to never get plastic surgery.
00:49 "Okay, I want to negotiate my own condition."
00:52 The Twilight actress went so far as to say that she thinks that women who do get plastic
00:57 surgery are "losing their minds" and called it "vandalism."
01:01 "Tonight wasn't the best."
01:03 "Yeah, but we got through it."
01:06 9. Drew Barrymore
01:08 Few people have grown up in the spotlight more than Drew Barrymore.
01:12 "I think in our weird trajectory of life, you grow up so fast and you're in these like
01:19 adult jobs and yet you're not an adult."
01:25 She was just 11 months old when she appeared in her first commercial, and before she was
01:29 10, she'd already made five movies, including, of course, E.T.
01:36 Today, in her late 40s, she has her own talk show, where her face is still front and center
01:43 for all to see. And it was on that talk show in 2021 that Barrymore discussed her desire
01:48 to never have plastic surgery.
01:50 "I think because I'm so rebellious that I saw all of that pressure and I saw all of
01:55 those women torturing themselves to look a certain way and I thought, 'You miserable
01:59 people.'"
02:00 She made that decision partly for fear that her addictive personality would take things
02:04 to the extreme, but more out of a desire to "not be afraid of what life would do to me."
02:10 "I just wanted to never be afraid of what life would do to me."
02:16 8. Angelina Jolie
02:18 Angelina Jolie's intense beauty has been part of her persona ever since she's been
02:23 in the Hollywood spotlight.
02:24 "With a face like that, she doesn't need a name."
02:25 "Actually, Tony, my face is a little higher."
02:31 Her looks have made her one of the most desirable women on the planet, and you might think that
02:35 she would do everything in her power to maintain that beauty, even plastic surgery.
02:40 "Is that a dare or a double dare?"
02:43 Well, according to an interview Jolie did with the Daily Mail, plastic surgery is not
02:47 in her future.
02:48 "I haven't had anything done, and I don't think I will," said the OG Tomb Raider.
02:53 However, while it isn't for her, Jolie doesn't hold it against anyone who does get work done
02:58 on themselves, saying, "I'm not in somebody else's skin to know what makes them feel better
03:03 about themselves."
03:04 "I'm sorry."
03:05 "You apologize too much."
03:07 7. Kate Winslet
03:09 While some actresses leave themselves a little leeway when discussing their anti-plastic
03:13 surgery stance, Kate Winslet is not one of them.
03:16 "Jack, I want you to draw me like one of your French girls."
03:19 For Winslet, who's been a star in Hollywood for almost 30 years, it's a moral issue, and
03:24 it goes back to how she was raised to believe and honor natural beauty.
03:28 And if you think Winslet might change her mind in the future, let's just say we wouldn't
03:33 put money on it.
03:34 "I'm an open book.
03:35 I tell you everything."
03:39 We believed her when she told The Telegraph, all the way back in 2011, that on this issue,
03:44 she will never give in.
03:46 "Don't get me wrong.
03:49 There's a certain beauty in your resistance.
03:52 Your defiance of categorization."
03:53 6. Julia Roberts
03:56 One of the greatest Hollywood stars of the '90s and 2000s, Julia Roberts and that big,
04:01 beautiful smile have been a part of our movie-going lives for decades.
04:06 "Slippery little suckers."
04:08 And it's nice to know that, when it comes to getting older, she believes in letting
04:12 us see the pretty, mature woman she is becoming, without plastic surgery.
04:17 She also wishes more women would let themselves get older before making any decisions on manufactured
04:22 enhancements or changes.
04:24 She wants her children to be able to distinguish the emotions on her face, and as she told
04:29 Elle magazine, "I want to have some idea of what I'll look like before I start cleaning
04:34 the slates."
04:35 "I'm also just a girl, standing in front of a boy.
04:42 Asking him to love her."
04:46 5. Salma Hayek
04:47 Salma Hayek was more than willing to wear fake eyebrows and gross stubble on her upper
04:52 lip to play the great Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
04:55 "They say you should never believe a limping dog or the tears of a woman."
05:00 But when it comes to making more permanent or intrusive changes to her visage, for the
05:04 sake of some sort of beauty aesthetic, Hayek says no.
05:09 "No."
05:12 She did admit to almost getting fillers once, but her fear of needles caused her to back
05:17 out at the last minute, and Hayek, now in her 50s, has never attempted anything since.
05:23 As she told InStyle, "No surgical tweaks, no Botox either."
05:28 "That's the best thing you've said all night."
05:31 4. Halle Berry
05:33 Imagine a world where one of the most beautiful women to ever grace the planet is being told
05:39 that she should get plastic surgery. Well, that's our world. Or at least the Hollywood
05:44 portion of it.
05:45 "Some things, it's priceless, you know me."
05:49 Because as Halle Berry said in an interview, "I won't lie and tell you that plastic
05:54 surgery doesn't cross my mind, because somebody is always suggesting it to me. We aren't
05:59 sure who these people are, but we're glad she hasn't listened to them, and doesn't
06:02 plan on it either."
06:03 "Ignorance is bliss."
06:07 "Surgery is natural, and that's going to happen to all of us," she said. "I just
06:11 want to always look like myself, even if that's an older version of myself."
06:16 "I'd like to throw my hat in the ring."
06:19 3. Julianne Moore
06:21 Like many other actors, Julianne Moore might have changed her name when she became an actress,
06:26 most likely because someone with her birth name was already a member of the actor's
06:30 equity.
06:31 "Hey, can you give us a hand here?"
06:32 However, when it comes to changing her face with something like Botox, she doesn't have
06:36 to do it, and she won't ever do it.
06:39 "Let me tell you something, the whole thing stinks to high heaven."
06:42 Maybe if she believed it could make her look better, she would consider it. But as she
06:47 said in the past, "I don't believe it makes people look better. I think it just makes
06:51 them look like they had something done to their face."
06:54 "Shame on you! Shame on both of you!"
06:59 2. Meryl Streep
07:00 One of the greatest actors ever, Meryl Streep holds the record for the most Oscar nominations
07:06 of all time, with 21 as of 2023.
07:09 "Oh, don't be ridiculous, Andrea. Everybody wants this. Everybody wants to be us."
07:20 She's also tied for the record of the least number of plastic surgeries ever, with zero.
07:26 And having seen too many surgeries go wrong, Streep has no plans of changing that zero
07:31 to a one in the future either.
07:33 "It's not me. You just want it."
07:35 But besides the problems that can occur, Streep also truly believes in embracing the aging
07:40 process. "Life is precious," she told Good Housekeeping. "And when you've lost a lot
07:46 of people, you realize each day is a gift."
07:49 "What if it kills you?"
07:52 "Then I shall die happy."

08:10 Number 1. Emma Thompson
08:12 When it comes to acting, Emma Thompson uses all the colors in her actor's palette to
08:17 create her characters.
08:18 "When you need me, but do not want me, then I must stay. When you want me, but no longer
08:26 need me, then I have to go."
08:30 But when it comes to plastic surgery, she is very black and white. For Thompson, not
08:34 only is plastic surgery bad, it isn't normal, and the culture that we've created that says
08:40 it's normal is not normal.
08:42 "Tell me, if you were in my position, what would you do?"
08:46 The talented actress has strong views on the subject and sees it as a greater societal
08:51 problem as well. She goes so far as to call the prevalence of plastic surgery and its
08:56 effect on future boys and girls "chronically unhealthy" and a form of "collective psychosis."
09:03 "Nope, none of it."
09:05 How do you feel about the anti-plastic surgery stances these actresses have taken? Let us
09:10 know in the comments.
09:12 "Sam, it's time for you to grow up and accept responsibility."
