Don’t compare weakening ringgit to 1998 Asian financial crisis, says Anwar

The current weakening of the ringgit cannot be compared to the 1998 Asian financial crisis situation, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim after launching the International Financial Hub at TRX in Kuala Lumpur on Friday (Feb 23).
He said the current situation must be looked at comprehensively and based on an overall picture, including at the country's capacity to grow and the reassuring investments figures.
