00:12 There's people up there protesting, they came to see their MSPs, but they've all run away.

00:18 We thought because there was four MSPs in their offices here, you know, since they're public servants, we'd be able to speak to them.

00:31 I'm John, I'm from Gaza Genocide Emergency Committee.

00:34 We're outside Labour Party offices here in Wilson Street in Glasgow.

00:39 And we're here to request that Labour representatives make a substantive statement,

00:47 not just on the ceasefire, which they've been prevaricating about, but they actually take a position on the genocide itself.

00:56 We went into the offices very peacefully, obviously, and we requested to speak to some of the staff.

01:02 No one was there, alas, we're not sure where they are.

01:05 But we do think it's imperative that they come and speak to us as our representatives and explain to us

01:13 what they intend to do about the genocide and not just about a ceasefire.

01:18 A ceasefire's not enough, it's obviously very, very important, but according to the International Court of Justice,

01:27 which sets out these protocols, states and organisations actually have an obligation not to enable the genocide.

01:36 And that's the point we're trying to get across to Labour Party and every other representative here in Scotland.

01:46 There are various means for people to make their feelings known.

01:51 We think it's very, very important, and in particular, we want to draw attention to what our political representatives

02:00 are going to do in relation to the arms companies here.

02:03 That's a very, very important point. We must be seen now not to be facilitating arms to Israel.

02:10 Weaponry that's being made here in Glasgow, in Scotland, is going to kill the kids in Gaza.

02:18 It's absolutely shameful.

02:20 If one could come out at these phases, we're all peaceful, we just want to say something to them.
