01:57 which is par and a bit more for a cruiserweight I guess.

02:11 It's a bit of a scouting mission just to assess the opponent in front of him.
02:15 He's got someone here who is very calm and calculated is Fletcher.
02:19 Just waiting his chance, he's not missing with his jab or leaning in.

02:28 And this will have come from his coach Mark Tibbs and Jimmy Tibbs,

02:44 He's by no means a 6th ranked journeyman if you like this guy Torero.

03:08 And went the points distance over four against Jamal Chalala.

03:17 Yeah, it's sensible boxing at the moment from Fletcher.
03:22 Because obviously Torero, when you're in against an opponent who doesn't want to engage,
03:28 what you don't want to be doing is he's coming over your front foot,
03:30 falling short, missing the target, getting frustrated.
03:33 So he's staying calm and using his lead hand.
03:36 It'll take a bit of time but that's a sensible approach to be quite honest Paul.

11:18 So he's done his job against an opponent who didn't really want to engage.
11:22 So Tommy Fletcher used his jab, listened to his corner, got the job done.
11:26 And, you know, he moves on.
11:28 Again, it's another learning fight for him against an opponent, like I said,
11:32 who didn't really want to engage with him.
11:34 But he's got the win, Paul.
11:36 It's a really interesting crowd reaction for me as well, Richie, here at the Copper Box tonight
11:40 because they're used to seeing Fletcher's opponents flat on their back at the end.
11:43 It hasn't ended in that sort of showreel moment tonight.
11:47 But that should not negate the quality of the work for me.
11:51 That's right.
11:52 And it's difficult to knock an opponent out who keeps moving backwards.
11:55 You've got to try and catch him on that front foot as he's coming forward
11:58 and the power doubles up if you bring him onto the shot.
12:01 That didn't happen tonight.
12:02 I think Torello, right from the word go, realised he was in against a very skilful kid.
12:06 There's Frank Warren there giving some advice to Tommy Fletcher.
12:10 But, you know, he goes on.
12:12 He's 7-0 and it's another learning contest.
12:14 He's got the physical advantages, hasn't he, Tommy Fletcher, but he does it behind his jab.
12:18 He's got a great, great power in that left hand.
12:20 And he's got a good team behind him.
12:22 Mark and Jimmy Tibbs, they know what they're doing.
12:24 And, yes, he's got a big future.
12:26 He's only 22.
12:28 The boss looks pleased as well, doesn't he, which always helps.

12:33 I think he should be pleased because, you know,
12:40 we've got some terrific cruiserweights again now in this country, haven't we, Richie?
12:43 But it's really nice to have a guy like Tommy Fletcher, just 22, rising rapidly.
12:49 And the way it's going at the moment, who knows what the future holds for somebody like Chris Billum-Smith.
12:55 But there could be spaces opening up, and indeed for the other top cruisers in the country.
12:58 That's right, Paul. And like I said, he's only 22, and this is only his seventh contest.
13:02 So he's got a big, big future, but he's got a good team with him.

13:07 And they'll push him at the right time.
