We catch up with grime legend Dizzee Rascal who surprised fans with a free show in Birmingham

BirminghamWorld had the opportunity to chat with grime legend Dizzee Rascal, who performed a surprise gig at the Bullring & Grand Central in Birmingham city centre on Valentine’s Day.

00:22 everything influenced by, so everything from UK Garage to dubstep, drum and bass, hip-hop, grime,

00:30 all kind of, a lot of experimenting.

00:39 I like Switch N Explode, I like Tell Me About It, because that one's actually,

00:43 it's actually not one of the more upbeat ones, but it's one of the kind of deeper ones

00:48 on the album. There's a track with notes as well that I like, it's called Here For Now,

00:54 I really like that. London Boy and What Do You Know About That is another banger as well, which

01:00 talks about kind of how I came up in London and the kind of the scene that I came from.

01:04 Because we had the opportunity to do it and I've got like quite a big history in Birmingham,

01:10 I've always come here since even before my first album, so when I was on the underground scene,

01:16 Birmingham was one of the other few places that had pirate radio,

01:19 so I'd even come down here and emcee and do little kind of raves.

01:23 This was before I even had a record deal, so I've always come here.

01:30 Don't take it personal, it's art now, go cop that,
