00:00 This is not hosting The Baftas, not my day job.
00:03 So I feel quite liberated by that,
00:05 that I can just enjoy the sort of madness of this.
00:08 I mean, it feels like a huge privilege and honour,
00:11 certainly not something I was going to say no to.
00:13 But I always feel slightly like,
00:16 "Wow, I mean, they wanted me to do it.
00:18 "They'll get what they get."
00:20 I know that we want to do a show that is generous
00:24 and inclusive and we're not interested in roasting anyone
00:28 or making anyone feel uncomfortable.
00:29 So beyond that, hopefully it'll just be a celebration
00:33 of what has been a pretty extraordinary year,
00:36 I think, for the cinema.
00:38 I feel very honoured that this is the year I'm hosting,
00:41 which is, I think, arguably the year
00:44 that cinema got its mojo back.
00:47 I never really offer advice 'cause I don't really have any.
00:50 I think it's everyone's journey, certainly as an actor,
00:53 it's so different and it's so particular to them
00:56 and it's so about...
00:58 I mean, the only thing I've ever said to any actress ever
01:01 is, "Be nice, be on time and learn your lines,"
01:03 because everything else is kind of,
01:06 is a bit of a roll of the dice.
01:09 But those three things will define you
01:11 as somebody that people want to work with again.
