00:00 Gypsy, there are lots of convention photos of you dressed as Star Wars and Harry Potter characters.
00:05 Did your experience and what you were going through impact your love of those franchises
00:09 in any way and is cosplay something you hope to get back into?
00:13 Um, you know, a little bit. I'm not gonna lie, a little bit. I think that like looking at old
00:20 pictures of me wearing different costumes and stuff, even though the interest is there,
00:27 um, I can't help but have like a small part of me that still feels like when I put on a costume,
00:36 I'm put back in that time. Um, and that's just something that I'm gonna have to work through
00:41 with a therapist, you know, I still have a lot of triggers that they might be extremely subtle.
00:47 Um, so that that's actually could potentially be one of them. Um, that's definitely not on
00:54 the extreme side, but on the subtle side of the trauma that happened.
00:58 I want to add to that. I think you're right when you, she probably wore those cosplay
01:04 outfits and costumes to get out of the current life she was living with her mother. So it was
01:09 like an escape. Right. And I think she loves who she is now as a woman, as a person.
01:14 And I'm more confident.
01:15 Right. So I guess she's right when she puts on that costume,
01:19 she's escaping a good life that she has now. So she probably might not want to do it as much.
01:23 Right. So I can see that
01:25 even though I've got a major interest in all of, you know, cosplay and everything,
01:29 it's beautiful to look at. Um, but I don't feel the need to change my identity. Whereas
01:35 before I felt the need to change my identity. Absolutely.
