00:06 - One of the reasons why I left Malaysia in the first place
00:31 was because I already could see the signs of the downfall.
00:36 Like we had issues in the program
00:38 where some of the requests I was making
00:41 to try and help improve the sport were not being fulfilled.
00:44 I did hear from the divers,
00:46 they sent me some messages while they were over there
00:48 and I was like wishing them luck
00:51 and all that sort of stuff.
00:52 But some of them were like kind of complaining
00:55 a little bit to me about the situation at home.
00:59 A lot of things would need to change.
01:02 I had this conversation with the National Sports Council
01:05 just before I left and I said,
01:07 "Look, if you wanna improve the sport,
01:09 "you wanna retain me as a coach,
01:11 "these are the changes that you're going to have to make
01:14 "because otherwise the sport will die."
01:16 And that seems to be happening.

01:27 - Who's the oldest?
01:43 Layla's probably the oldest.
01:44 So if she still loves diving, she should keep diving.
01:48 She's competitive.
01:51 Otherwise she wouldn't have been at world championships.
01:54 And it was only like what, two, three years ago
01:57 that she was a world champion.
01:59 So three years isn't very long.
02:00 And Mani, she kept going until she was nearly 40.
02:05 So I mean, there's other divers out there
02:08 that are diving in their 40s competitively.
02:10 I know being a platform diver, it's hard on the body.
02:16 Your body takes a toll, but you can manage it.
