Asian countries and communities worldwide celebrated the Lunar New Year with fireworks, feasts, and red envelopes filled with money for children. The festivities last for 15 days, starting with the first new moon of the lunar calendar and ending on the first full moon, with dates varying each year between late January and mid-February.
