Victorians react to magnitude 4.3 earthquake in state’s east

Victorians have been roused by a magnitude 4.3 earthquake which hit Leongatha in South Gippsland, 135 km south-east of Melbourne, at around 1am on February 9 morning.

00:03 It's about 10 minutes to 1am this morning. There was a magnitude 4 earthquake

00:09 near Foster in Victoria. It's somewhere we had a magnitude 3 earlier this week.

00:15 Now this is a larger event so that was obviously a foreshock. We don't know that until it actually

00:22 happens. So it woke me in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. So I'm sure that a lot of people

00:28 across the city have felt this one. So there may be aftershocks continuing so we'll see.

00:34 We'll have some more information later in the day.
