00:00 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:02 Forward march.
00:16 That's the command given to the police personnel
00:19 standing here from their top officers.
00:21 And if you would look at it, the barriers, the cement barriers
00:25 have been moved now.
00:26 And Delhi and Noida border is going to be completely sealed.
00:30 You will see a host of cars also lining up there.
00:34 But now with these men and machines,
00:36 it is completely inaccessible.
00:39 This part of Noida is now coming from Delhi's side.
00:42 The women police contingent have been
00:45 asked to march forward in order to take any preventive action
00:50 that might be required.
00:52 This is a scenario unfolding at the border of Delhi and Noida.
00:56 And remember, Noida is a national capital region
00:59 which joins the national capital Delhi
01:02 to this part of Uttar Pradesh.
01:04 Two different states, two different police,
01:07 and the men and machine, you see the water cannons,
01:10 right control vehicles, all of them
01:12 facing this part here, which is going to--
01:17 from which side the farmers are expected to come in as of now.
01:24 Well, this is almost half past 2 on a Thursday afternoon.
01:29 The schools are still open.
01:30 The offices are open.
01:31 And the traffic, too, is unrelenting.
01:34 Keeping that in mind, the police presence here
01:37 and the authorities have made elaborate arrangements,
01:40 not giving much distress to the traffic as of now.
01:44 And that's the challenge that the police authorities
01:47 are facing as of now, how to maintain law and order
01:50 without disrupting the traffic, the ongoing movement
01:55 on the roads as of now.
01:57 What we have noticed as of now is, by and large,
01:59 the situation is peaceful.
02:01 Not much of a brouhaha here.
02:03 But yes, all of them are on standby as of now.
02:07 And as we speak, we hear that the protesting farmers
02:11 are making their way on this exit point of Noida.
02:16 From here on, Delhi region starts.
02:18 And the protesting farmers wanted
02:20 to make their voices heard in the parliament as of now.
02:23 So this side, the British police.
02:25 And on the other is the Delhi police.
02:29 With cameraman Imran Shah, this is Pankaj Mishra
