00:00 This is where the vehicle came to rest, halfway down a cliff, in the early hours of Sunday
00:07 morning. Those who were in the four-wheel drive were camping nearby with friends between
00:13 Horrocks Beach and Port Gregory when they decided to go for a drive.
00:17 Where the tragic accident happened, it was probably one of the steepest parts that they
00:24 went over. But normally it's just flat ground, sheep country, and I would say at that time
00:31 of night, they really didn't have any idea that they were approaching the cliff edge.
00:36 Unfortunately, the vehicle has driven off the cliff. It appears to have rolled and landed
00:43 on its roof on the steep and treacherous incline.
00:49 Two men in their early twenties died at the scene. A third man, who survived, climbed
00:54 back up from the wreckage and was found by his friends and taken to hospital for treatment.
00:59 There's every indication that this is just a tragic accident and these boys have been
01:05 driving in the car and accidentally gone over the cliff.
01:10 Police say the survivor was in the rear of the vehicle and had seatbelt injuries, suggesting
01:14 the restraint may have saved his life. A local towing company is working with police on plans
01:20 to remove the vehicle from the cliff.
01:23 It's devastating. I just feel so sorry for the parents. I just, I'm in grief. Yeah, it's
01:28 sad, very sad.
01:30 Major crash investigators are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
