00:42 The Department of Transportation is reporting on a Facebook page

00:50 that Alok is following a 12-month free subway ride card using a VIP card.

00:55 It's a scam so don't be fooled.

00:58 The page is not connected to DOTR or any of its attached agencies.

01:03 According to some members of MRT 3 who frequently use VIP cards,

01:07 they don't believe it.

01:10 They say it's too good to be true.

01:13 It's too long.

01:15 I don't believe it.

01:17 Of course I will be angry because why are they showing such information,

01:21 especially to us commuters because it's important to us.

01:25 DOTR's advice to the public to avoid such scams,

01:29 visit their official communication channels like verified social media accounts and official websites.

01:47 We validate the website, especially those on Facebook that have legitimate pages.
