00:00 Am I a member because I got the memo?
00:02 Come on now, this is great!
00:04 You got the memo!
00:06 I got the memo!
00:08 I think I just joined Pentatonix everybody!
00:12 Well y'all know, first of all y'all know that the music does it for me all the time.
00:18 So I mean it does, first of all it's like music is healing anyway.
00:22 But your music is so joyous and it's just like a feast for the ears.
00:26 So it just makes me happy.
00:28 And everybody thinks that you're here because you're nominated again, so of course that's great.
00:32 Oh my gosh, yes we can't believe we're nominated for an album we put so much heart and soul into.
00:36 It's a world holiday album where we celebrated all these different cultures and learned about their music and their culture and how they celebrate the holidays.
00:42 We collaborated with the most iconic artists from all these different countries.
00:45 And it was so fulfilling and such a beautiful journey making this album.
00:48 So to see it celebrated by our peers in this way, it's just surreal.
00:52 That's the only word I can think of.
00:53 Do y'all ever feel like us, like if you're in the studio, you're recording something and then you hear it like, "Oh damn, we just did that!"
01:00 I mean seriously, do you ever feel like that?
01:02 Yeah, yeah.
01:04 Especially because we're such fans of each other too.
01:06 So like when I hear a certain thing, it's not the same as Kevin does.
01:09 It just inspires us to keep going and keep pushing further.
01:12 And so it's like we feel like kids in the playground, like they get to play in the sandbox.
01:16 How do you decide when you hear your name called, who gets to give the speech?
01:24 Oh, we haven't even talked about it.
01:27 Now I'm creating problems.
01:28 We're figuring it out right here, right now.
01:30 I think I'd be so nervous and shocked.
01:35 Mama's got diamonds, so Mama should be able to do it.
01:38 Oh yeah, Mama's just gonna go, "Yeah, well hopefully they won't leave me behind because I'm gonna have to shimmy shimmy onto the..."
01:45 You guys were part of the opening ceremony for the premiere ceremony.
01:49 Yeah, with like Jordan Sparks and J.I.V. and all of that.
01:52 What was that moment?
01:53 Oh my gosh, it was so good.
01:54 We did Prince "Let's Go Crazy."
01:56 Everybody was just unbelievable.
01:57 It's so cool to see such diversity of talent on one stage.
02:01 And that's what I think makes the Grammys so unbelievably iconic.
02:04 That all these artists from completely different walks of life can be on the same stage and
02:07 showcase their talent, but it all is working harmoniously together.
02:10 It's just the coolest thing.
02:12 I feel so blessed that we get to do this.
02:13 And celebrate each other.
02:14 Everyone was so kind.
02:15 We were all hyping each other up.
02:16 And it was just such a fun song and a fun way to start our Grammy day.
02:20 Alright, so what's coming up next?
02:22 That's a great question.
02:24 You know, I think what we've talked about a lot...
02:25 Oh!
02:27 Oh!
02:28 Oh!
02:28 My ears are burning!
02:30 Oh!
02:30 Baby girl, mwah!
02:32 I'm gonna come on in.
02:33 I had Sheila E. bust into your interview.
02:35 Come on.
02:35 Everyone...
02:36 [laughter]
02:39 We just performed together.
02:40 We were literally just talking about it.
02:42 Yeah, just talking.
02:43 Literally.
02:43 We were just talking about how cool it was for all these different talents to get together,
02:47 open up the ceremony, kind of celebrate music and celebrate each other.
02:51 Oh, absolutely.
02:52 It was amazing.
02:52 I had a blast.
02:53 I mean, I get to play with them?
02:54 Come on.
02:55 Really?
02:56 She gave a master class on energy.
03:01 Like, it was amazing to watch you perform and like, taking the mic and everything.
03:06 And just...
03:06 I did the simple...
03:07 Like, master class.
03:09 Thank you, thank you, thank you.
03:09 Something happens to her when she gets on those terms.
03:12 [laughter]
03:14 Oh my gosh, yes.
03:15 It was unbelievable.
03:16 Well, thank you guys so much.
03:19 Sheila, you stick around.
03:20 (air whooshing)
