00:56 That song, "Fast Car," it was my favorite song

00:58 before I even knew what a favorite song was.

01:02 since I could play guitar, honestly.

01:04 I just love that song.

01:06 So when I went into the studio

01:07 to record my most recent record, which was "Gettin' Old,"

01:11 and I was like, what if we just did this cover of "Fast Car,"

01:14 you know, just 'cause I wanna do it?

01:15 I'm not doing it for anybody else.

01:17 I'm just doing it for me.

01:18 - And during the performance,

01:19 it was clear how big of a deal it was for Luke

01:22 as he watched Tracy and mouthed the words while she sang.

01:29 ♪ I say somebody's got to take care of him ♪

01:32 ♪ I quit school and that's what I did ♪

01:35 - I try to bring that energy into everything that I do.

01:39 - Tracy's obviously written one of the best songs

01:43 It's already iconic before you've even heard the words.
