Alright, tonight is a huge night because Little Richard is nominated for Best Music Film tonight.
00:07
Tell me how it feels to be in this space and for this movie specifically.
00:11
It is incredible for Little Richard, I Am Everything to be recognized here because Little Richard never won a Grammy.
00:20
He had an honorary award but for this community to see the value of his story is really exciting and heartwarming.
00:32
Yeah, I couldn't agree more. It's beyond special for us and the whole team and Lisa but also for Little Richard and his legacy.
00:41
It would be a very magical, magical moment.
00:44
And tell me about your collaboration together to bring this vision to life.
00:48
Well, Gus, Jason, the team at Rolling Stone Films has been an incredible partner from the beginning of making this film.
00:58
And I couldn't have asked for a better collab and fun time for us to have access and to supplement the big vision that I held for making this.
01:13
Yeah, and Lisa is a visionary filmmaker. I really believe that and I think will go on to make so many incredible films.
01:25
And I haven't quite said that to you but did such a beautiful job finding a unique way to tell this story.
01:32
And that was very inspiring for us to be a part of and it's kind of a perfect aligning of the stars.
01:39
I love that.
01:40
So before we get you out of here, I want to know, I know there's a lot of things that we can take from Little Richard's story,
01:45
but in making this film, what is the one takeaway that you wanted us to leave with?
01:50
Well, see if you can find yourself a mirrored suit and if you can't, just never be afraid to let your light shine.
02:01
You can't compete with that.
02:05
You said perfectly.
02:06
I'm not going to try to add anything. Let's not even try to add that.
02:10
That's perfect. That's perfect as it is. Thank you so much.
02:12
Good luck tonight.
02:13
