00:00 "If you're promoted. Oh, it's just like the old days."
00:07 Welcome to MissMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the best outtakes from
00:11 'The Office,' wherein John Krasinski just couldn't hold it together.
00:15 "You want a carpool?"
00:17 "Sorry."
00:19 10. Last Minute Kevin
00:22 Apparently, Brian Baumgartner makes Krasinski laugh.
00:26 "Hey, Jim." "Hey, what's up?"
00:28 "Hey. Um, I know it's last minute, but I was wondering if..."
00:35 Baumgartner plays Kevin Malone on 'The Office,' and in this simple scene, all Krasinski does
00:41 is turn towards him and a smile breaks out across his face. In the second take, he tries
00:46 looking away, but again, that smile. After that, both Krasinski and Baumgartner take
00:52 turns breaking pretty much every time they look at each other. It's not even a big comedic
00:56 scene. "Hey." "Hey." "Um, I know it's last minute, but I was wondering if it would be..."
01:03 "No, that was you!"
01:06 But as fans of 'The Office' bloopers know, once the adorable Krasinski starts breaking,
01:11 it's very hard for him to stop. "I was wondering if it would be cool if I brought my..."
01:16 "Oh my God." "Wait."
01:18 "It's casual, so I'm not really worried about numbers or anything." "Cool. Alright. Thanks."
01:23 9. Dynamics in the workplace
01:26 Again, as with the previous outtake, we aren't quite sure what gets Krasinski going on this
01:30 one, but boy does he get going. "Basically the dynamics of..."
01:35 "Sh*t. Alright."
01:40 So much so that in the second take, you can still see his face is a little red from cracking
01:45 up on the previous one. And speaking of that second take, while Rainn Wilson was kind of
01:50 able to hold it together the first time, he also loses it in the next take.
01:54 "Basically..." "Within the workplace."
01:57 And speaking of red faces, both guys have faces the color of ripe tomatoes after the
02:02 laughing fit they go through on that one.
02:05 "Basically..." "Within the workplace."
02:08 8. A full desagulation
02:12 There's a very funny scene in the season 3 episode 'Women's Appreciation' in which
02:16 Dwight threatens Jim with a demerit and gives him a lengthy rundown of what the consequences
02:21 of one is. "That'll land you in a world of hurt. In the form of a disciplinary review
02:26 written up by me and placed on the desk of my immediate superior."
02:30 "Which would be me." "That is correct."
02:33 In response, Jim threatens Dwight with the possibility of a full desagulation.
02:38 What is a desagulation, you ask? We don't know. We don't think Jim knows either. But it's funny.
02:44 "You will receive a full desagulation."
02:47 "What's a des- what's that?"
02:50 "Oh, you don't want to know."
02:53 So much so, that Krasinski can't quite make it through his threat before a huge smile
02:58 appears on his face, and he has to sit down and try again.
03:02 "You will receive a full desagulation."
03:05 "What's that?"
03:12 7. How often can you donate blood?
03:15 In the season 4 Survivor Man episode, Michael is angry and jealous that Ryan invited Toby
03:21 on a company wilderness retreat but didn't invite him. He decides that he wants to go
03:25 camping and invites Jim, hypothetically, to come with him.
03:29 "And you know what hypothetical means. Not real." "Got it."
03:33 "So if I were to hypothetically ask you to go camping with me, would you go?"
03:38 "Absolutely yes." "When Michael plays the hypothetical game, I always say yes."
03:42 Jim says that he would go, but he can't because he's donating blood. Apparently Jim has used
03:47 that excuse before, because Michael questions him about how often one can do it.
03:51 "Oh, you want to go today?" "And I am always busy."
03:54 "Oh, I can't go today, because I'm donating blood."
03:58 "How often can you actually donate blood?"
04:01 "Is there a limit?"
04:02 In this outtake, you'll see things going great with both Carell and Krasinski, looking like
04:07 they're going to make it through the scene in good form. But obviously there was laughter
04:11 building up in John's body, because when the camera comes back to him, he bursts.
04:16 "Is there a limit?" "I don't know." "I don't think there was. Well, your body only has a certain amount."
04:22 6. You're Not Real
04:27 One of our favorite secondary characters on the show is Creed Bratton. The weird, unconventional
04:32 anomaly that is Creed has some of the most outlandish and funniest lines of the series.
04:37 "I open up a Word document on his computer and put an address at the top. I've read some
04:42 of it. Even for the internet, it's pretty shocking."
04:48 And his humor isn't lost on the cast either, particularly John Krasinski in this great
04:53 little outtake. After Creed fills Oscar in on what's gone on in the office while he was
04:57 away, Jim looks at Oscar and tells him he's pretty sure none of that is real.
05:01 "Whole big thing. We had a funeral for a bird." "I'm pretty sure none of that's real."
05:08 "You're not real, man!"
05:10 To which Creed responds that Jim isn't real. It's a perfect Creed line, and in at least
05:15 one of the takes, it causes one of those super cute smiles to appear on Krasinski's face.
05:20 "We had a funeral for a bird." "I'm pretty sure none of that's real."
05:26 "You're not real. Huh?"
05:31 In the Fun Run episode, Pam accidentally walks in on Michael half-unclothed in his office,
05:38 the lower half. "See how I did that?"
05:42 "That's the way you should enter a room. You knock and then you wait for the all clear."
05:45 "You couldn't have taken off all your clothes in the men's room?"
05:47 "Yes, but I have an office, so why would I do that?"
05:50 Later on the episode, Jim pokes fun at Michael's decision to go unclothed in his office by
05:54 doing one of his on-camera interviews topless and sarcastically questioning if they were
05:59 at a French beach. "Oh, I'm sorry. Is this a working office and not a French beach?"
06:05 He follows that line with a classic Jim Rye smile. However, in one of the previous takes,
06:10 rather than a funny quip and a smile, Krasinski couldn't even get to the quip before busting
06:15 a gut and having to start over again.
06:18 "What are you doing here?"
06:23 4. Pre-fired
06:25 "Don't make me fire you." "You can't fire me. You're acting manager, not office manager,
06:29 so you have no firing powers." "Don't make me pre-fire you." "You wouldn't dare."
06:34 We all know that sitting too much isn't good for us, which is why you get those reminders
06:38 from your Apple Watch to stand up every now and then. Well, on this particular day of
06:42 shooting, John Krasinski didn't need reminders from his Apple Watch because he had the pre-fired
06:47 scene, which kept him rising to his feet over and over again.
06:51 "You wouldn't dare."
06:56 "Oh man." "And when I get promoted, you're full fired." "If you get promoted, ahhh."
07:01 In the scene, Krasinski is meant to stand up, make his statement to Dwight, and that
07:05 is that. However, as you can see in these bloopers, it took Krasinski multiple tries
07:09 to get through it without laughing, each time standing up, breaking character, sitting back
07:14 down, and trying again.
07:16 "You're pre-fired. And when I'm promoted, you're full fired." "If you're promoted, oh."
07:23 "Oh, it's just like the old days."
07:27 3. Screw You
07:29 In this scene, Kelly is super angry at Jim and Dwight for forgetting her birthday, and
07:34 responds to their attempted apology with a harsh "screw you" to both of them.
07:38 "We just want to say we are very sorry." "Screw you guys, you're dead to me."
07:41 "If you say screw you one more time." "Yes, screw you, B-Farm. I'd forget your birthday.
07:44 I would never do that." "Guys, guys, guys, guys, guys. We just want to make it up to
07:48 you. What can we do?"
07:49 As we saw in an earlier outtake, Krasinski and Rainn Wilson seem to have a special knack
07:54 for cracking each other up during takes, and this scene with the two of them and Mindy
07:58 Kaling is another great, and hysterical, example of that.
08:02 "Screw you guys, you're dead to me." "If you say screw you one more time."
08:05 "Screw you, B-Farm." "Whoa, okay, guys."
08:07 "I did the face you like."
08:12 After Kelly's harsh retort, Wilson looks over at Krasinski, and that's all it takes for
08:16 him to break. Wilson even called the look he gave Krasinski "the face you like." Like
08:21 it or not, the look gets Krasinski laughing through at least another couple of takes.
08:25 "If you say screw you one more time." "Yes, screw you, B-Farm."
08:28 "Hey, guys, just cool it. You knew. You knew that wasn't that."
08:33 "I did not."
08:34 All Jim has to do in this scene is turn down Michael's offer to carpool to the cocktail
08:39 party. "Jimbo, last chance to carpool."
08:42 "You want to carpool?"
08:48 Sure, it sounds easy, but you try keeping a straight face while Steve Carell is getting
08:54 in nice and close, and verbally nudging you by saying the word "carpool" over and over
08:59 again. "Carpool?" "Yep." "A little carpool together?" "We're going to go separately."
09:03 "Separately? What?"
09:07 "We'll carpool together?" "Yeah."
09:10 If you can do it, then you are stronger than us. And John Krasinski. Yes, he eventually
09:16 made it through, but not before a multitude of takes ended with his face breaking into
09:20 a big smile and laughter, despite his best efforts not to.
09:24 "Carpool? We'll carpool together?" "Yeah."
09:28 "I'll meet you there."

09:49 "Number one, if I quit, we'll all quit."
09:53 "I so want to quit. But if I quit, we'll all quit. It'll be anarchy."
09:58 While it's usually another cast member causing John Krasinski to break character, in this
10:03 oh-so-great outtake, the culprit is all Krasinski, and there's no one else in the scene to blame
10:09 but himself.
10:10 "I so want to quit. But if I quit, we'll all quit."
10:15 The Kras takes shot after shot at the lines, even making slightly different acting choices
10:21 on each one in regard to tone and delivery. But each time, regardless of how he chooses
10:26 to say the lines, getting through it all ends in failure, as that classic Krasinski smile
10:31 grows big across his face, and he bursts out laughing.
10:35 "I so want to quit. But if I quit, we'll all quit. It'll be anarchy."
10:40 "Does this even work?"
