00:04 How does it feel to walk this carpet as a Grammy nominee?

00:07 Very surreal. I can't believe it. Even when you say that, I'm like, "What? Who are you talking about?"

00:13 I'm talking about you, girl.

00:14 It feels very, very cool. It's, I think, the highest recognition you can get as a musician, so it feels cool.

00:21 And then you're also performing at the pre-show, so how do you prepare for that?

00:25 How do I prepare? I will try not to think too much about it. I'm very excited for it, honestly.

00:31 I've performed this song a couple of times now, so I think I'm just excited to get to play it with some amazing musicians.

00:38 And then how do you feel about jazz music in general and representing the genre in 2024?

00:43 I think it's a really great time for jazz music. I like to say my music is kind of like a derivative of it.

00:49 I love taking inspiration from my favorite jazz musicians and mixing it into my own music.

00:54 I think it's an exciting time for jazz. You have so many amazing musicians like Samara Joy and Domi and JD Beck,

01:00 a lot of who have been recognized by the Grammys so recently, so I think it's an exciting time.
