Birmingham headlines 01 February: Solihull driver charged over death of teenage pedestrians in Oldbury

Serious collision investigators have charged a man after two teenagers died in Oldbury in November 2022. Dhiya Al Maamoury from Solihull has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The owners of the Barton Arms in Aston have shocked customers after announcing that the venue has closed this week. The director of the venue said the decision had been made as the pub was no longer "economically viable."
