It has more colors, more technology, and will be available for European buyers in the first quarter of this year.

After months of camouflaged prototype observations, the updated Audi Q7 is here. Audi of Europe has pulled the wraps off the company's latest personal transporter and plans to begin deliveries across the pond later this quarter.

The new Q7 is a major facelift rather than a completely new model. This is notable because the current Q7 has been on track for years, having been introduced in 2015 for the 2016 model year. Fast forward to 2024 and we encounter a revised front fascia featuring a new version of Audi's Singleframe grille. It's as big as ever, rocking a thick girth with an octagon-themed pattern inside. There are redesigned vertically oriented corner vents on the lower fascia, and although the LED headlights look largely the same, HD Matrix headlights with laser lights and customizable features are optional.

Audi says the lights are a first for the Q7 and offer expanded visibility with a laser diode for each light. It activates with high beams at speeds above 43 mph and is powered by 24 LEDs to “significantly” increase high beam range. Looking closer, the new Q7 also gains optional customization features for its daytime running lights. Drivers can choose from four lighting signatures, and this also applies to the updated LED taillights. It remains to be seen whether these upgrades will reach North America, where US regulations continue to create problems for the latest active lighting technology.

The base model now has standard contrast stitching, 19-inch wheels, gloss package with aluminum roof rails and a rearview camera with parking assist. Stepping into the option area, you will find nine decorative trims to decorate the greenhouse that continue unchanged. Three new exterior colors are offered: Ascari Blue, Sakhir Gold and Chili Red, and new wheel options ranging from 20 to 22 inches are available.

In the tech department, apps from third-party providers are available for the first time, so you can use things like Spotify directly through the Q7's infotainment system. New driver support features include various warning screens such as lane change and distance warnings for the virtual cockpit.

The powertrain settings are also familiar; Folks across the pond get a 3.0-liter diesel in two tunes for 228 or 282 horsepower, a gas-powered V6 making 335 horsepower, and a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 making 500 horsepower. performance-oriented SQ7 hardware. The SQ7 also gives you more black trim, oval exhaust tips at the rear, a chin spoiler up front, and the ability to hit 60 mph from rest in 4.1 seconds.

European consumers will be able to purchase the new Q7 as a 2024 model with a starting price of 79,300 euros. We expect this model year to move to 2025 when the car makes its way to America.
