00:00 Hundreds of people have attended the Morning in the Morning ceremony here at Elder Park
00:07 on the banks of the River Torrens, including Premier Peter Malinowskis and the Governor
00:11 of South Australia, Francis Adamson.
00:14 They have seen a smoking ceremony led by Narrajerri and Kaurna Elder Uncle Mugi.
00:21 There's also been plenty of singing and dancing here by Indigenous artists as well.
00:28 We have seen a panel discussion with a number of Indigenous leaders.
00:32 They reflected on what this day means to them and how they feel on this day.
00:38 We've also heard about how impactful the voice referendum has been on those Indigenous elders.
00:46 I had a chance to speak with Uncle Mugi and he told me how we all need to learn how to
00:54 live with one another throughout this day.
00:58 People that do ceremonies, you've got people that will do protests, you've got people that
01:04 do everything, but at the end of the day, we're living in this country together.
01:10 We have to learn to get on, we've learned to respect each other.
01:18 A number of ceremonies are going to be continuing throughout the day.
