00:05 All my life I've been taking stereo pictures.

00:07 All through the Queen experience, I was taking

00:09 pictures of us off stage and giving the camera to people to

00:12 take pictures of us on stage.

00:14 I have a great collection.

00:15 And I made this so that I could share it

00:17 with everyone else.

00:18 When virtual reality started to be talked about, I realized

00:21 that this was the perfect instrument to see it, because

00:24 this is optically a lot better than most of these virtual

00:27 reality machines that you'll find.

00:30 It's based on sound Victorian technology.

00:32 It's a return to this kind of intimate experience, the

00:35 parlor experience, if you like.

00:36 What you can see is a whole universe.

00:38 And I think the point may come where people never

00:40 want to come out.

00:41 I've been dreaming of doing this most of my life, being

00:44 able to share 3D instantly with people everywhere.

00:46 We had a VR rig with UMPTEAM GoPros on a four-point

00:52 suspension in the arena in Barcelona in front of, I don't

00:56 know, 20,000 people or whatever.

00:57 And we were able to guide it around.

01:00 And so when you see this back in your owl or your Google

01:04 Cardboard or your Oculus Rift, it'll feel like you're in a

01:07 spaceship and you're in that arena watching us or watching

01:10 the audience you can look all around.

01:12 And you'll zoom up, and you'll be able to come on stage with

01:14 us and experience what it looks like to us.

01:17 I was thinking the other day, wouldn't it have been nice if

01:20 we could have done this, filmed when we had Freddie

01:23 around?

01:26 I have lots of 3D pictures of Freddie.

01:28 And it's incredible how lifelike he looks.

01:30 He looks so young and powerful and fit, which he was.

01:34 And people go, wow, I feel like I could touch him and

01:37 talk to him.

01:37 And we looked very seriously at this kind of holographic

01:41 image of Freddie to be with us live.

01:45 But for various reasons, we thought it wasn't right.

01:47 Because we tend to be very human-based and not

01:50 technologically-based in the way we perform.

01:53 We have him on screen.

01:54 And Freddie's part of our show.

01:57 But it's very obvious that that's the

01:59 way it's being done.

02:01 It's not a gimmick.

02:01 It's just a way of having him.

02:03 And we play to his piano playing as well, which is fun.

02:06 So we involve him in the way we play at the moment.

02:09 I'm not going to say never, because it could happen.
