Alarming new figures show that around 10 knife crimes have occurred each day in the West Midlands since 2020. Birmingham accounted for 55% of all knife crime in the West Midlands during this period. West Midlands Police say they can't solve this on their own.

More hospital admissions for malnutrition were recorded in Birmingham University Hospitals Trust last year, new figures show. There were 235 admissions in the year up to March 2023, up from 215 from the year before.

Sharon Osbourne made an emotional return to Birmingham on Wednesday night during her live stage show at the Alexandra Theatre. She said that the Ozzy museum is set to open in Birmingham within the next 18 months. The location of the museum however is yet to be confirmed.
