Since December, Sri Lankan authorities have been cracking down hard on drugs, arresting around 1,000 people per day. The U.N. Human Rights Commission, and other rights groups, are concerned that Sri Lanka's war on drugs is being conducted inhumanely and is targeting vulnerable people.
