00:24 She learned about it when she joined the celebration of Household Day organized by the Labor Department.

00:52 In celebrating Household Day, the SSS, Pag-ibig and PhilHealth are letting the country know the importance of household.
01:00 According to the DOLE data, of 1.4 million households in the country, 83 percent of them have no benefits.
01:11 That's why this year, our focus is to have an advocacy campaign together with the social protection agencies
01:18 to encourage all employers to register their domestic workers.
01:25 There are also services from other government agencies.
01:30 The DOLE also aims to increase the capabilities of the people of the country.
01:35 That's why the DOLE also provided skills training such as cutting hair, massaging and many more.
01:42 What we really want is for the household to increase their skills and skills so that they can use this if they want to shift jobs.
01:55 Household Day is celebrated every January 18.
01:59 All DOLE offices in the country must be united in following Household Law.
02:06 But this year, it will be held until the end of the month to give the opportunity for the households to join on the day off,

02:19 It is important for the households to be united in these occasions because first of all,
02:24 they need to know that they have rights and benefits based on the law.
02:31 Here in the National Capital Region, more than 17 households are united in the celebration
02:37 from the group of Centro na Mga Magkakaisa at Progressibong Manggagawa at United Domestic Workers of the Philippines.
02:45 The 30 children of the households are included in the celebration,
02:50 enjoying the puppet show of the Philippine Information Agency
02:54 and film showing of the National Council for Children's Television,
02:59 which is a part of the School Supplies and Goods, the Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Incorporated.
