00:00 Alright, ladies and gentlemen, the Iowa caucus results are out and truly it stands on the
00:09 very expected lines.
00:11 Donald Trump has won the Iowa caucus with almost 52% of the vote, making it confirmed
00:17 that he will be the US presidential candidate for the Republican party.
00:23 Whereas the race for the second spot is still going on between Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis
00:28 as it is almost a neck to neck fight.
00:31 However, one candidate still stands out at the fourth spot with actually a sizable amount
00:37 of vote.
00:38 We are talking about Vivek Ramaswamy.
00:41 Talking of statistics, Ramaswamy has got at least 7% of the GOP votes in Iowa.
00:47 Sizable indeed and truly unexpected as several political pundits were not even expecting
00:53 him to be that strong.
00:55 Now after the result of the Iowa caucus, Ramaswamy has announced that he will be dropping out
01:00 of the presidential race.
01:03 Ramaswamy has dropped out of the US 2024 presidential election race today and has announced his
01:08 total support for Donald Trump after a lackluster performance in Iowa Republican caucuses.
01:14 Mr Ramaswamy was relatively unknown in the political circles when he first entered the
01:19 race back in February 2023.
01:21 However, he managed to garner the attention and support among the Republican voters through
01:27 his strong opinions on immigration and an America First policy.
01:32 His campaign strategy was being closely mirrored to that of former President Donald Trump both
01:37 in terms of policy and action.
01:40 In fact, Trump until Iowa elections didn't utter a word on Ramaswamy's campaign as if
01:45 he was somewhat okay with that.
01:47 However, just a few days ago, Donald Trump attacked Ramaswamy in his social media posts
01:53 calling people to vote for him only.
01:55 As if he got the idea that Ramaswamy is actually getting the loyal Trump support behind him.
02:01 Now as the Iowa elections are over, Ramaswamy has exited the race and has called on the
02:06 people and his supporters to stand behind Trump to save the American dream.
02:11 He has congratulated Trump and endorsed him fully in his race.
02:15 Now all eyes are on 23rd of January when New Hampshire goes in the caucus elections to
02:20 pick their preferred presidential candidate.
02:23 For now, Ramaswamy is out of the race throwing his weight behind Donald Trump.
02:28 But what could be next for him?
02:30 Could Trump consider him as a running mate?
02:32 The plot thickens.
