Goal! Drones replace balls in 'drone soccer' at CES

Drone soccer made its debut at the Consumer Technology Association show in Las Vegas. Participants hope it inspires youth to learn to fly drones.

00:10 So this is an international 40 centimeter drone soccer ball.

00:15 It consists of a five inch quad with a 4S battery.

00:19 These fly in horizon mode.

00:22 What that means is that you control the throttle 100%.

00:25 If you let go of the throttle, it's gonna drop right out of the sky.

00:38 Yeah, that was my first time watching drone soccer.

00:50 I thought it was amazing.

00:51 And I'd love to see it in our local communities.

00:53 And I thought it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen with drones.

00:56 So I'm hoping a lot of kids get interested in it.

00:58 And I'd love to see it in the future in a lot of local districts.
