Burnley boss Vincent Kompany believes that Clarets striker Lyle Foster will continue to improve in the Premier League.

00:11 And I usually look at, because sometimes we forget about how high the bar has been set now in the Premier League.

00:21 So, for example, teams like Bournemouth have got Solanke up front,

00:26 Everton's got Calvert-Lewin up front and they're kind of the teams who are at the moment just above relegation.

00:33 That's the standard of strikers in this league.

00:36 Like, we can't forget that.

00:37 But has he got the potential?

00:40 I think he's shown definitely that he does.

00:43 But I don't know whether the priority for him right now is anything other than being happy and playing.

00:49 And that's what transpires, I think, on the pitch.

00:52 It's still very closely followed.

00:54 We have, I don't know, it started with day one, with his three or four weeks plan.

01:05 Now he's got, I think, an eight-week plan going forward as well.

01:08 So he's still being closely monitored at the moment.

01:11 And it's nothing, I think you have to look at it like an injury a little bit and return to injury.

01:18 And he's every positive sign we wanted to see.

01:23 And that's the best thing for us.

01:24 We've seen everything he's had to do.

01:28 He's done brilliantly.

01:29 And now we just have to keep him on that path.

01:32 But he's still getting day-to-day, how would I say, follow-up treatment.

01:40 And until a point where, of course, the goal is to have him just live a normal life, you know.

01:48 I think we've proven how we've reacted as a club.

01:52 We have had as well to suffer, not real suffering, but you know what I mean?

02:05 And I don't think there's anyone at the club that's had a second thought about what was the right thing to do here.
