00:00 If the discussion is about a happy food trip with an exciting community vibe,
00:03 the most popular street food in Quezon City will not be left out.
00:08 And one of the institutions that will provide delicious food there is Urban Chick.
00:14 It's about her life here in the city and how she loves to cook chicken.
00:23 This all started with my children. I have three kids but they're all grown up now.
00:28 So at the time when they were still in school, I would let them bring home cooked food.
00:35 Every time they would come home, I would ask them what happened.
00:39 It turns out that they were all their classmates.
00:41 Urban Chick is 10 years old. We started in 2013.
00:45 We only started like a garage, a hole in the wall.
00:49 And then somehow, you know, we prevailed.
00:52 We were just thinking about what we could cook. If it's just a few people in one day,
00:59 maybe it won't reach 100.
01:01 We have meetings here, we have discussions here, we have videos here.
01:07 What the kids are doing. And then, they just grew up.
01:12 Of course, we should experience the signature dishes that are brought back here by students
01:18 and varsity players of nearby universities in the area.
01:22 Alphan Meal derives its name from an org of my son, Jules.
01:29 They want to have an anniversary name meal here in Urban Chick, their org.
01:36 So I called it Alphan Meal. Why?
01:39 Because our bestseller is Chicken Barbecue, leg and thigh.
01:42 And this is the famous croquette, cheese croquette.
01:47 So I want you to taste this because this is the recipe of my grandmother.
01:51 Oh, it's an heirloom recipe.
01:53 So the potato itself is flavored already.
01:59 It's that perfect combination of the soft texture inside, very flavorful.
02:06 And then what balances it is the crispness that's outside. So this is a winner.
02:12 So whatever it is that you see here, we have single order with rice or bread.
02:19 Different combinations.
02:21 Or with pasta.
02:23 You must try here in Urban Chick their biggest natural snack.
02:28 Fat Tortilla,
02:30 Overstuffed Bun,
02:34 and Brandy's favorite, named after their dog.
02:40 For those who love desserts, try this Banana Choco Pancakes.
02:45 And for a unique and refreshing snack, I highly recommend this Cucumber Shake from Urban Chick.
02:51 I remember when was the last time I tasted cucumber with milk.
02:56 I don't think so.
02:58 It's okay.
02:58 It's okay.
03:00 In fact, for their amazing food, they were part of the food businesses that were booming
03:06 when the Maginhawa Arts and Food Festival of Maginhawa Food Community last December.
03:12 Maginhawa Food Community is a collective of business owners based here in Maginhawa area.
03:18 More than 15,000 people came. And it's actually a comeback. The first one happened in 2014.
03:25 And we're very happy that even after 9 years, people still support us.
03:30 So next time you pass by Maginhawa, try this good vibes food in Maginhawa.
03:37 Especially this Urban Chick.
03:40 Let's go! Let's have a food trip!
