01:36 and whose allegiance to a clean and green community has become second nature to them.
01:41 Our rivers are not sewers through which trash flows out to seas that have become cesspools of our waste.
01:47 We cannot spend tens of billions a year collecting garbage whose volume could have been reduced through individual daily reuse and recycling.
01:56 Filipinos do not deserve dirty, dingy, or dark communities.
02:01 In the matter of solid waste management, the President is encouraging the establishment of a barangay in local government units
02:09 that will lead in the cleanliness of the environment and in projects that can benefit the environment.
02:15 I am ordering the relevant agencies to include the cleanliness in the performance guarantees of local governments.
02:25 The establishment of a bigger prize and incentive for LGUs that will benefit the cleanliness of the environment.
02:33 The national campaign for vegetables in the barangay.
02:37 The use of motor vehicles' users charge for the lighting of roads and waterways.
02:44 The establishment of a campaign against single-use plastic.
02:50 And the renewal of the use of tarpaulins.
02:54 Lastly, President Marcos also urged that aside from physical cleanliness,
02:59 the improvement and safety of the barangay should be encouraged to be more inclusive for the family, especially for the children.
