00:00 Got the set up underway here today for the Wingham Summertime Rodeo here on Saturday night.
00:05 All the bulls, the broncs, the barrel racing, all the kids events, the mini bulls and the steers and the junior barrels and all that sort of stuff going to be on here tomorrow.
00:13 There's plenty and plenty of seating here on the hill around the rodeo arena so bring your chairs.
00:17 Gates will open at 10 o'clock with the rodeo slack rounds starting at 12 o'clock.
00:21 So that's your junior events and some of your subsidiary events to lead into the main event and grand entry national anthem at 6 o'clock.
00:28 We're going to run through until about maybe 9.30 when the bar will be open.
00:32 The traps will be playing on the Bakewell's Hall, it's stage up there.
00:35 Plenty of alcohol in the bar, you're not allowed to bring your own, can't bring your own so we've got plenty here to sell you.
00:41 So yeah, bring a tarp, bring your chair and hopefully the weather stays fine for us.
00:45 We've got Big Al the rodeo clown coming back here again this year.
00:48 He loves coming to Wingham.
00:50 We've got the food vans, we've got the jumping castles, we've got P-Boz's here, we've got the bar open, we've got our kiosks.
00:55 There's going to be plenty of food options, plenty for the kids to see and do and plenty of rodeo action here at the Wingham Arena.
01:01 Young Tommy Hudson, the bull rider out of Dungog, he's leading the point score at the moment going into the finals.
01:08 The top three actual Saddlebronk riders going into the finals as well, they're all ending here tomorrow.
01:16 So it's good prep for a lot of those cowboys and cowgirls going into the national finals at the end of the month.
01:22 They've got to keep their skills sharp.
01:25 Emma Thompson, she's got about a $15,000 lead going into the ladies bar race at the finals too.
01:31 So she's ended here on Saturday as well.
01:33 Some pretty big names, so it should be some pretty good competition.
01:35 As well as the travellers and the big stars of rodeo, we've got a lot of locals, a lot of young fellas here getting in those novice bulls.
01:42 Young Aidan Sunderland, he's coming back after a bit of a spell riding bulls.
01:48 Yeah, Davey Tisdall, he's going to get on one. He had a bit of a misfortune last year and got carded off to hospital.
01:55 But from all accounts, he's entered in the novice bull riding tomorrow too.
01:59 So we wish him better luck than he had last year.
