00:00 I would like to appeal to the witnesses in our town of Carrickfergus who have yet to
00:05 come forward to think of my brother Glen and please do the right thing. You most likely
00:12 knew Glen and you know he was just a decent, kind-hearted big gentleman. He did not deserve
00:18 to have his life taken from him so violently. I've seen first-hand Glen's injuries. What
00:25 I've seen will never leave me. What happened to Glen cannot be allowed to ever happen again.
00:32 Those responsible need to be punished. They deliberately target a vulnerable member of
00:37 their own community. A lot has changed over the past four years. Friendships and relationships
00:44 have ended. Allegiances have been severed. Those who once held certain positions in our
00:50 town no longer hold any sway. Now is the time to speak up. Think of my brother. Think of
00:57 your own family or think of how the £40,000 combined reward could change your life. Remember
01:04 Glen Quinn. Never forget his name. Do the right thing.
01:11 Today is the fourth anniversary of Glen Quinn's murder and I am making a renewed appeal for
01:17 information. There is now an increased reward of up to £40,000 for information leading
01:25 to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. £20,000 is from Crimestoppers and an anonymous
01:34 donor has kindly offered a further £20,000. I hope this encourages people to come forward
01:42 with information which can lead to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for his
01:49 horrific murder.
01:51 Glen was murdered in his home at Ashley Park in Carrickfergus and found dead on the evening
01:57 of Saturday 4th January 2020. I believe he was attacked by a group of men at some stage
02:05 during the preceding Thursday or Friday. It was a brutal attack inside his own home, a
02:12 place where he should have been safe and secure. After the cowardly and violent beating, Glen,
02:18 who was a defenceless man, was left to die a slow and painful death from his serious
02:24 injuries including multiple rib fractures. He was just 47 years old when he was murdered
02:32 and he was well known and well liked by all. It's now four years on and Glen's family
02:39 who have had to endure yet another Christmas without him deserve to get justice for him.
02:45 I believe there are people out there who know the circumstances and know who is responsible
02:51 for his murder. I understand that they might be reluctant or afraid to speak up and I'm
02:58 keen to stress that information can be passed to the charity Crimestoppers with complete
03:03 anonymity. There is now the increased reward of up to £40,000 so I hope this encourages
03:11 people to come forward with any new information they may have.
03:15 Thanks for watching. Please subscribe, like and comment.
