Australia captain Pat Cummins pays tribute to David Warner ahead of his final Test
Transcript
00:00 I think of him when he first came into the scene, really changed Test cricket.
00:04 He was striking at over 70, which was just unheard of, especially for an opening batter,
00:11 averaging 40-odd, 50.
00:13 That's the Davey I remember, walking out there and taking the game away from the opposition
00:18 in the space of an hour or two, and doing it for over a decade.
00:22 I think his longevity is something that sometimes gets overlooked.
00:26 Obviously the bulk of cricket he's played over the last 12 or 13 years is pretty much
00:31 more than anyone else in the world.
00:33 Every time he walks out there he's competitive, ready to go, so just a champion of Australian
00:39 sport and hopefully gets a good send-off this week.
00:42 Two 50 over World Cups, one T20 World Cup, and all those campaigns, he was front and
00:46 centre and a big reason for it.
00:49 Then playing over 100 Test matches puts him in an elite category in basically all three
00:53 formats.
00:54 Just his consistency and the bulk of work that he's been able to achieve, I think he's
01:00 our greatest three-form player.
