Burnley boss Vincent Kompany believes that the decision from the South African FA not to include Lyle Foster in their squad was the correct decision to allow him to continue his recovery from a mental health issue.

00:00 "I think it's a very sensible decision from the South African FA in terms of definitely
00:11 supporting the advice of the experts.
00:16 Like I said, we didn't have Lyle available for a month or more even because we tried
00:23 to put him first.
00:25 Part of his rehabilitation is him being in a small environment but doing his job as well,
00:33 playing football.
00:34 That's part of the things that make him happy in life.
00:37 It's just with the travelling and everything else, I think the people who advised us throughout
00:44 this period just didn't think it was the time yet for Lyle.
00:50 But in the end we're doing, I think collectively, something that is good for ultimately a South
00:56 African human being before we call it a play.
01:02 We're taking care of him, we're looking after him and he'll be ready to perform for his
01:06 country again at some point.
01:09 This is just part of his process."
