00:23 We are very excited as SNV to have opened this particular centre in Roma, Ghana,

00:29 the District Sanitation Centre.

00:31 It's one of the first that we have opened basically in the whole of Rwanda

00:36 and it's following the policy of the Ministry of Minimum Fraud

00:40 who is trying to actually open district sanitation centres in all the different districts.

01:00 From our side as SNV, we are looking at this as part of the Isuku Iwachu project.

01:06 This project is funded by USID and it operates in eight districts

01:10 and the idea is to ensure that through the district sanitation centres

01:15 the households can have access to product and services related to sanitation.

01:21 We will have private sector who are actually showcasing the different sanitation products

01:26 that can be accessible to the households.

01:29 Then also there's going to be a component of training where people can actually be trained.

01:35 A district can actually train various households, various people to know better

01:40 in terms of how they can actually improve their sanitation.

01:43 And this is part of a bigger project which is trying to reach out to 500,000 households

01:48 in order to ensure that they have improved sanitation in their households and also other facilities.
