00:45 The main reason for opening the London route is to connect Rwanda to Europe.
00:52 This is our first European destination.
00:54 And the whole point is to link Rwanda to the rest of the world
00:58 and to encourage trade between the two countries.
01:03 This is a big opportunity for exports, for Rwandan exports from Rwanda to the UK and beyond,
01:09 and also vice versa.
01:11 So as well as tourists from Europe coming to Rwanda as well.
01:16 As I said, London is our first European destination,
01:18 but the immediate plan is also to connect, to tie that route to Brussels.
01:23 So we're looking at Kigali, Brussels, Brussels, London.
01:27 So that's our next one.
01:28 And down the road, we're open to opening other European destinations as well.
01:33 It's a really great achievement on the side of Rwanda to have direct flights to London.
01:39 I've been coming here for a couple of years now,
01:44 and a lot of the time flying through Brussels or flying through Dubai.
01:49 It's great now that I can just relax on one flight and straight direct to London Gatwick.
01:55 To me, this is great.
01:57 This is a business opener.
01:59 So as long as the flight is there and the routes are open, then the business channels are open.
