00:00 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:03 Let's talk about the Browns and Texans.
00:06 I mean, Cleveland got it done in the pound against the Bears,
00:11 but there were casualties.
00:14 Oh, yeah, there were a lot.
00:15 And by the way, there are only four games this weekend
00:17 where both starters who started in week one
00:20 are playing this week.
00:21 This is not one of them.
00:22 Case Keenum will once again get another start.
00:24 Remember now, this is his third stint with the Texans.
00:28 He's signed as an undrafted free agent in 2012,
00:32 and he's in the right offense for him.
00:33 This is a West Coast offense that they're running.
00:35 They're doing a good job.
00:37 Nico Collins should be back on his camp stream this week.
00:39 He missed last week's game.
00:40 And you can see their offense was impacted by it.
00:42 They were able to win in overtime.
00:44 Fairbairn coming off of injured reserve.
00:46 The kicker doing a great job.
00:47 But really, when you look at it, Cleveland's all banged up.
00:49 Flack was doing a great job.
00:51 Joel Botonio, their star guard, they're hopeful he could play.
00:55 He got some work in today.
00:56 It's not the knee that had surgery.
00:57 It's his back now.
00:59 You worry about that with the older players and offensive line
01:01 in particular with back injuries, Pharrell.
01:04 So you've got to keep an eye on that.
01:06 This is going to be a fun game.
01:07 This is a huge game.
01:08 I'm so glad that this game has playoff implications
01:11 for both teams.
01:12 The Browns have an outside shot, believe it or not.
01:15 They need like five things to happen.
01:16 But they could potentially clinch a wild card spot
01:19 this week.
01:20 The Texans are still looking for it.
01:22 They know they have to get at least two
01:24 of their last three games to win to get in there.
01:27 But Case Keenum is holding the fort down,
01:29 doing a really good job.
01:30 But the offense goes through.
01:31 Devin Singletary coming over from the Bills.
01:34 And the Bills didn't want him back, really.
01:36 He's taken over the starting job of Damian Pearce,
01:38 who did a good job last year.
01:39 But it's going through Singletary,
01:41 who's doing a phenomenal job.
01:43 You've got to give them credit.
01:44 And Bobby Sloak, by the way, Bob Sloak, his father,
01:47 was a long time NFL assistant coach.
01:49 Bobby in his first year calling the plays, doing a great job.
01:52 And once again, D'Amico Ryan, he would be-- if we had a vote
01:56 now, if the Texans make the playoffs,
01:58 despite six or seven great candidates, he would get it.
02:02 He's a rookie head coach.
02:03 I know Shane Steikman's right up there.
02:05 But the fact that the Texans-- not only have they exceeded
02:07 Vegas' expectations for L, they've exceeded anyone's.
02:11 If they make the playoffs here, that would be incredible.
02:14 And they've got a good shot to do it.
02:16 Listen, they find a way to win almost every week.
02:22 Case Keenum is solid as a backup.
02:25 People talk about Heineken and what he's capable of doing.
02:29 Case Keenum has done it all as a backup.
02:32 And I think you can count on him.
02:34 That was a huge win last week.
02:36 As I said, Singletary's the reason
02:38 they won that game last week.
02:40 They were down big, came back, winning in overtime.
02:43 And Ryan's and that coaching staff of his
02:45 seem to find a way every single week to win.
02:49 I'm not going to be surprised if they get it done again
02:52 against Cleveland.
02:53 And I don't argue with anything you said
02:56 about him being coach of the year.
02:58 The job that he has done with that football team
03:00 and the job Stroud did until he got his head hurt,
03:05 I thought was phenomenal.
03:08 And Stroud, by the way, Stroud is absolutely
03:11 in the running for offensive rookie of the year.
03:13 There's no question about it.
03:14 In fact, he's been unfazed.
03:15 He is the biggest reason why they're in it
03:17 from a player standpoint.
03:19 Will Anderson, by the way, their first round pick
03:20 will not play his ankles banged up for second straight week.
03:23 That does impact this matchup a little bit.
03:25 But I'm so interested to see what these journeyman
03:27 quarterbacks, Flacco and Chickalake Keenum,
03:30 do against each other.
03:31 And Flacco, how about that fourth quarter last week?
03:33 Tough first three quarters.
03:34 But I worry about the protection for the Browns.
03:36 It was not good last week.
03:38 (upbeat music)
