The Peace Light from Bethlehem in Stamford

The Rev Andrew Hollins talks about Bethlehem, as The Peace Light arrives from the city in Stamford

00:00 Bethlehem is in Israel, Palestine.

00:04 Yeah? Yeah, we know that's where Jesus was born.

00:08 Yeah, so it's near the Mediterranean Sea, it's in the Mediterranean.

00:14 Yeah, we can look up a map sometime.

00:17 So I think the piece of light goes from Bethlehem to a scout who's come from Austria.

00:27 And then it's taken to Austria and there's a special service where the light is prayed over, what we call dedicated.

00:35 And then it's taken out all around Europe and even to America and Mexico and Canada

00:43 and all sorts of famous people in the past have had the piece of light from Bethlehem,

00:49 like presidents of America and prime ministers in Britain and the Pope and now special people in the world.

00:59 And now we're in Antartica!
