00:00 >> Playing with your dad, everything you thought it'd be?
00:03 >> Yes, I mean, playing with my pops is huge.
00:04 I mean, having the opportunity to come over here with Coach Lanny and
00:08 my pops is just big time.
00:09 I mean, Coach Meade is one of the best in the nation.
00:12 I mean, best recruiter, one of the best developers with Christian Gonzalez,
00:17 Kyrie Jackson, and then the list goes on and on.
00:20 So having an opportunity just to be on the team with him here, it's been huge.
00:24 >> I feel like it's been a little bit tougher with him,
00:26 kind of maybe coaching a little bit harder than he would any other player.
00:29 >> I mean, I love it.
00:30 So yes, but at the same time, it's been something that's made me who I am.
00:35 It instilled a good work ethic in me.
00:37 It instilled discipline.
00:39 It's something that I'm gonna take with me for a lifetime.
00:42 >> Obviously, you've seen the dad side before, but
00:44 have you seen a different side of Coach Meade as a coach playing for him?
00:48 >> Yes, sir, but at the same time,
00:50 I've had an opportunity to follow him throughout his coaching career.
00:54 So while he was doing the Pac-12, and he was going from USC to Washington to
00:59 Colorado, the list goes on.
01:02 I had opportunity to be around him and see how the players interact with him,
01:05 see how he loves his players, and see the love, his tough love, and
01:09 how he treats them as sons.
01:12 So having the opportunity to be coached like that, for my own, is amazing.
01:17 >> How big do you think that was for you, just in terms of being around that culture
01:20 and seeing how college locker room works on a day-to-day basis,
01:22 and kind of having some of that knowledge coming into your freshman year?
01:25 >> I mean, it was a learning curve for sure.
01:28 It was something that was different.
01:29 High school is completely different.
01:31 It's not as structured, not as organized.
01:33 But being able to be in a college opportunity and
01:37 facility, it just provides unlimited resources,
01:42 unlimited people to talk to, and just grow from and learn from.
01:46 So being around guys like Bo Nix, and Kyrie Jackson, Troy Franklin,
01:52 being around them on a day-to-day basis, all around me, I've just been picking up
01:56 on mannerisms, and picking up on what they like to do before we have to check in,
02:01 after we have to check in, stuff like that.
02:04 So it's been a big thing for me.
