00:00 How's it going everybody? Randall Sweet, AllSooners.com, here to talk more about OU's 2024 recruiting class.
00:06 I'm going to talk about Daniel Akinkumi, the talented offensive lineman from London, England.
00:11 Now, Daniel Akinkumi is rated as a three-star recruit. He's about 6'5", 310 pounds,
00:18 so good size, just what Bill Biedenboe likes in those tackles out there.
00:22 And he goes to the NFL Academy in London. Again, this is a guy that's got tons and tons of upside.
00:29 He's only been playing football for a few years, obviously, over in London. Football's not the main sport.
00:34 He was able to discover it. His journey is actually one that you should check out on AllSooners.com.
00:39 We wrote about that earlier this year. But again, a guy who's very athletic physically, used to play basketball,
00:44 so you can see some of that athleticism carry over into the footwork that he needs to play offensive line,
00:50 specifically when he's playing a tackle position. Again, I mentioned this is a guy that has a lot of upside.
00:55 He can play all five positions on the offensive line, or he has in high school.
00:59 I think at OU, he'll probably be a tackle, but again, in high school, as a guy who played guard, center, and tackle,
01:06 he kind of prided himself on that. And I think the last thing that really
01:09 helped seal the deal with OU and Daniel Akinkumi is the fact that he's got the same mindset as Bill Biedenboe,
01:15 where he loves to be physical in the trenches. He loves to hit people.
01:18 He told us that he loves to run inside zone plays, and you can see it when he runs those inside run plays.
01:23 He physically loves to beat up on opposing interior defensive linemen,
01:26 loves to get his hands on and again, move those guys around. A guy that loves to work hard,
01:33 he again explained that to us in the journey that he had to make to become an American football player.
01:38 And I think all those things are a really good personality match with Bill Biedenboe,
01:42 with the other coaches on the staff, that's Daniel Akinkumi.
